So, how does SUP differ from trekking, boating and other recreational (sometimes competitive) activities? To start with, SUP is really really easy to learn. In a matter of 20 minutes, you can learn the basics of this watersports through an inland briefing. Filisup's Tono Legarda will help you familiarize with the equipment as well as demonstrate the dos and don'ts of SUP. Aside from it's easy to learn, stand-up paddle-boarding is more relaxed compared to other watersports. It's not as technical and as rigorous as surfing or kayaking. You'll also have more control when it comes to directions and pace as compared to surfing. SUP is quite a total workout to boot! It engages your arms, legs, back, and core. And if ever you get tired, the board is sturdy enough that you can sit and even lie down to catch a breath, so nothing to worry about. It's truly very chill and permits you to take in more of the scenery.
